Shared below is some feedback from grant recipients.

Lighthouse for Hope founder Hannah Cobley sent us a note and some photos to share how her $2,500 grant is being used:

Hi there!

Last week we were able to deliver some things to London and her family. London is a young girl who is currently battling Neuroblastoma. She received her first stem cell transplant and is in the hospital and will be for quite some time. We were able to bring her family some gifts and hopefully provide them some relief during this dark time. Thank you for helping us make that possible!

Steve Auer put together a request for the Los Angeles Youth Network for funding to go towards summer activities for the kids they shelter. A $3,000 grant was awarded. Please watch the short video: https://www.outsideonline.com/2236361/what-happened-when-i-took-homeless-kids-island

The “Summer of Fun” that you helped to underwrite is now over. Thanks in part to your support, our youth had lots of adventures these past few months. Some adventures were in town. Others, a short drive away. But for the youth at our Transitional Living Program, the best adventure was a boat ride away.

Wes Siler, who runs Indefinitely Wild, once again led a group of TLP residents on an outdoor adventure they will never forget. The link below will take you to his on-line column about the experience. Enjoy the read. And when you have the chance, I hope you will watch the 10-minute video that is embedded in the piece. It’s a treat—like a DVD extra with youth providing the commentary!
